CT launches a professorship in UAV apps for crops monitoring in collaboration with the European University

This is an innovative project that will use for drones with an optimized flight plan.

The European University and CT will carry out a project that aims to develop a web application that monitor the state of ripening of orange groves by analyzing multispectral images, taken from a drone. This software will allow tracking the evolution over time of the crops health and ripening and improving decision making.

This way, the application allows optimizing and automating the planning of the UAV mission and route, so imaging can be as efficient as possible, by only selecting an inspection plot on the map. Moreover, it is able to analyse different phytosanitary rates to forecast the optimal moments for different actions such as irrigation, treatment or harvest.
