CT & ARCO Marine Unveil the Design of a Hybrid Vessel Project at the Itechmer Trade Show

The main objective for us is to reinforce our position in the fishing industry, and to show our design of a hybrid vessel project, that is the first of its kind in the sector. Itechmer is a meeting of professionals working in sectors anywhere from ship design to the processing of seafood products

CT & Arco Marine attend Itechmer together, the international fishing industry trade fair that takes places in Lorient (France) from the 18th to 20th of October. “The main objective for us is to reinforce our position in the fishing industry, and to unveil our design of a hybrid vessel project, that is the first of its kind in the sector”, explains Laurent Clavery, Operations Manager of ARCO Marine. CT recently announced the acquisition of 85% of the shares of ARCO Marine, a naval engineering company based in Saint-Nazaire, and Nantes (France).

Itechmer is a meeting of professionals working in sectors anywhere from ship design to the final processing of seafood products; including capture, security, logistics, marketing, etc. This biannual fair takes place in Lorient because of its central position in an increasingly global market. Lorient is the second biggest fishing port in France, where over 26 000 tonnes of seafood products are sold at auction and 100 000 tonnes of fish are processed every year. It is home to 270 companies, including 25 in processing, harbors 118 vessels, and employs over 3 000 direct jobs.
